Hi, welcome to my portfolio,

The Author's Room.

My name is Lucas Sangeun Jeong, and I am a first-year transporation design student at the College for Creative Studies.

My journey as a designer began in high school, when entering the MAGNA Global Bold Perspective Award introduced me to the world of automotive design. That early experience deepened my interest in transportation design while opening a parallel path into graphic and communication design.

Art and cars have always been constants in my life. From the moment I could hold a crayon, I was sketching vehicles, studying proportion, and imagining new forms.

I spent the later part of my undergraduate education in Shanghai, a city that constantly blends movement, culture, and modernity. Living there, and traveling throughout Asia and the United States, gave me an early sensitivity to atmosphere, hospitality, and the way different environments shape human experience. Those impressions still guide the way I design: observant, intentional, and grounded in context.

Today, I’m a Transportation Design student at the College for Creative Studies, focusing on exterior and interior styling supported by research, storytelling, and craft. Alongside automotive work, I’ve built a strong foundation in brand identity and visual systems, from rebranding NHD China to developing studio concepts and product lines of my own. Across every discipline, my goal remains the same: to create thoughtful, human-centered design shaped by the places I’ve lived, the cultures I’ve learned from, and the experiences that continue to inspire me.
